I'm Adam Gerber, and I lead paid media and performance marketing at Horizon Media.

Day to day, that means running advertising for Sphere Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden, and Capital One, and living inside the mechanics of TikTok, Meta, Reddit, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, the Trade Desk, and CTV. Over the years I've also guided media programs for Amazon, NBCUniversal, FOX, Sony Pictures, Zynga, Petco, the World Surf League, and CBS/Showtime, but what I care about isn't the logo list. It's the question underneath all of it: what actually drives results, and why.

Lately I've been most interested in where the big platforms are heading. I've argued that Reddit will dominate as the anti-AI economy's crown jewel, that CTV is one of the most undervalued opportunities in advertising, and that Pinterest is uniquely exposed to AI-generated content. I write most of it down on my blog, usually with a strong opinion attached.

My work is centered in New York, but I live in the suburbs of Kansas City with my wife and two kids. We moved during Covid and stayed. Outside of work you'll usually find me at a live show; 2025 was a big year for theater for me, and the biggest takeaway was that you can be amazed anywhere.
